the basement khemist: khemistry
Every once in a while, you get a chance to be part of something that means a lot more than just making music. For me, that came when the Basement Khemist blessed me with what turned out to be their last known recording together. These guys are legends of Kansas City hip hop, and huge influences on me personally. To be able to remix this track for them was an honor.
The song is all about Rumpus and the creative experience, and now it’s got a whole new life thanks to the visuals created by my brother Scribe. He put his touch on it and launched it as the very first video on his new Scribbleverse Studios YouTube channel.
I didn’t make the images on this one—that’s all Scribe’s talent—but being able to contribute musically and see it paired with his animation feels like something special. It’s simple, raw, and honest… exactly the way creativity should be.

Drop a like or a comment if it hits you—those little things really do help spread the art in a world ruled by algorithms.
This is just the start for Scribbleverse Studios, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here.
